Challenge
We were assigned to create a distinct, dynamic video for the opening of the Deloitte 2024 Southeast Asia Partners Conference, the main character of which would be the Dragon. Our mission was laying on captivating, engaging, and inspiring an audience of top executives while staying true to the conference’s theme: ‘THINK B² IG’. The main goal was to ensure that the core message was communicated clearly and powerfully with the design of the key visual, a dragon, which was perfectly illustrated and animated by our team. The video is spreading the vibe of prosperity and leadership of the Deloitte corporation.
Solution
With just 8 weeks to deliver, we dove into crafting a dynamic opening video where the Dragon truly stole the show. Using cel (frame-by-frame) animation, we brought the story to life with stunning illustrations of 10 iconic Southeast Asian cities, weaving them seamlessly into the dragon’s majestic flight. Each cityscape was a tribute to the region’s energy and collaboration. From animatics to rough animation to polished compositing, every step was a labor of love to ensure the visuals radiated the strength and unity of Deloitte’s partnerships.
We closely collaborated with the client to ensure that their vision was fully realized. The final animation resonated with the audience, serving as both an artistic achievement and a compelling narrative for the event’s message and set the tone of the conference. More likely, it wasn’t just an animation-it was a powerful story that captivated and inspired its audience.
