BCC Media, a non-commercial media house, approached Hound Studio to create a short cel (frame-by-frame) animation for a large-scale event dedicated to children. The challenge was to produce an engaging video that could convey their meaningful ideas while captivating a young audience. This required crafting a story that was visually appealing, age-appropriate, and aligned with the event’s purpose—all within a tight production schedule and with high creative expectations.
To tackle this challenge, we brought together our talented team of illustrators and animators to create a mix of frame-by-frame and 2D animation. Using tools like Toon Boom, TV Paint, and After Effects, we designed a vibrant and dynamic animation that resonated with children while staying true to BCC Media’s vision. Each frame was carefully crafted to balance artistic creativity with technical precision, ensuring the story was both compelling and visually engaging. Close collaboration with BCC Media’s team allowed us to fine-tune the animation, delivering a product that met the brief and delighted the audience.
This project exemplified the power of collaboration and creativity in overcoming challenges. By combining our technical expertise with BCC Media’s inspiring vision, we were able to create a captivating animated film that not only entertained young viewers but also reinforced the event’s core message.
